CardSmith's Senior Advisor, Joe Pietrantoni, built the Auxiliary Services Program at Duke University into a $120 million dollar operation. Several of his programs are Nationally recognized and cited in articles published in National Publications Trade Association Journals, Corporate Annaul Reports, and the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Joe has presented his programs at National Workshops and conducted several sessions at Higher Education's National and Regional Association Meetings. He served as a Faculty Member at the College Business Management Institute (CBMI) and serves as a Consultant to both Higher Education and Industry.

His Auxiliary Services are recognized for product quality, market sensitivity, user friendly service, and competitive prices. His Duke Card Program is recognized Nationally as top in its field and is truly a "one card does it all" program processing over 300,000 financial and access transactions daily.

Joe is a founding member and a former President and Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU). He was the first recipient of the Ving Card Persona Professional Development Award recognizing his vision and achievements with the Duke Card and use of Campus Cards throughout Higher Education.

Duke University recognized Joe's achievements by awarding him the University Medal. This award is reserved for individuals who have made contributions with long-lasting impact on the life of the University and is the highest award the University bestows on an individual.

Joe has become affiliated with CardSmith to advise on overall company strategy and to assist CardSmith customers in realizing the total potential and benefits of a Campus Card Program throughout their Auxiliary Services, Academic Departments, Athletics, Medical Facilities, Police Department, Privatization Vendors, and other Campus Service Operations.
