Mr. Taran Lent Vice President & Founder Product Management and Development

Mr. Lent is a campus card industry entrepreneur, pioneer and subject matter expert whose professional career has been dedicated to building and managing businesses in the electronic payments industry. He has focused, unique expertise in the stored value and transaction processing disciplines developed in 15 years of work in the campus card arena. His depth of knowledge of campus card, bank card and software-as-a-service platforms is a key asset of CardSmith.

As Sr. Director of Product Management at Student Advantage, Mr. Lent was responsible for architecting and managing SA Cash's core transaction infrastructure, developing and managing the university and merchant offer portfolio, and providing national sales support. Prior to joining Student Advantage, he co-founded Transaction Service Providers, Inc., (TSP) a company that developed and managed one of the first off-campus merchant payment programs in the nation at Dartmouth College. Acquired by Student Advantage in 1999, this service has scaled to over 100 colleges campuses. Mr. Lent attended Dartmouth College and graduated with high honors in Systems Engineering in 1996.
